Heading from Cape Town the scenic choice is on the R44 from Somerset West to Pringle Bay, Kleinmond, Sandbaai and Hermanus. Any destination in the Cape Overberg is within easy reach from Cape Town (1 to 3-hours drive). Heading towards the Southern most point in Africa take the time to visit Stanford, Cape L'Agulhas, Struisbaai, Arniston and Napier surrounding Bredasdorp.

On the N2 freeway from Mossel Bay and Swellendam cross over at Caledon towards Gansbaai , Kleinbaai and De Kelders. A visit to the Overberg is not complete before taking in the picturesque wide open spaces and country-clean fresh air of Genadendal, Greyton, Villiersdorp and the Elgin Valley towards Grabouw.
