The N2 freeway between Cape Town and the Garden Route provides the quickest (not necessarily most scenic) access to the Cape Overberg. Once you're in the vicinity the R44 between Gordons Bay and Hermanus offers a (must do!) scenic drive along the coastline towards any destination in the Overberg.

Situated within a radius of 150km, the Cape Overberg is famous for it's whale watching, shark-cage diving and Fynbos floral kingdom extending from Greyton (up North) to Hermanus (in the South). Pringle Bay (to your left) and Bredasdorp (on your right). Many attractions well worth your visit in between and beyond!

Founded in 1838, this small country town is an important centre for wheat and sheep farming in the area. Bredasdorp offers a magnificent shipwreck museum, agricultural museum and many fine examples of Cape Gothic style architecture dating from the 19th century.
